An  Infant and Children's Village

We are a non-profit based in the Seattle area working to build an orphanage for newborn babies, infants and children in the city of Morogoro, in Tanzania (East Africa).

Nurturing the Whole Child

Our goal is to create a village for orphaned children ranging from 0 to 17 years. Elephant Path’s Infant and Children’s Village will focus on the whole child with love and nurturing at the very core. As these children mature into adults, they will benefit from the care and education that they have gained at Elephant Path to become vital members of their community.

Changing The Orphanage Model

Elephant Path’s Infant and Children’s Village will become a new orphanage model for infant and child care that redefines how thousands of children grow up around the world. Traditionally, orphaned children in many countries are placed in institutional settings with caregivers struggling just to meet their basic needs. In contrast, our village will be a community of local and international staff and volunteers who live with and support the children in a long-term, family setting.
